Κινηματογραφικές και Τηλεοπτικές Σπουδές (Film and Television Studies)

Συνεκτιμώντας τις ανάγκες της χώρας και συμμορφούμενο με τις διεθνείς πρακτικές και τη λειτουργία αντίστοιχων τμημάτων από τη δεκαετία του 1970 στην Ευρώπη και Αμερική σκοπός του Προγράμματος Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (Π.Μ.Σ.) «Κινηματογραφικές και Τηλεοπτικές Σπουδές» είναι:

• η εξασφάλιση επιστημονικής επάρκειας των σπουδαστών και σπουδαστριών,
• η εξειδίκευση και η καλλιέργεια υψηλού επιπέδου δεξιοτήτων και γνώσεων στα γνωστικά αντικείμενα των κινηματογραφικών και τηλεοπτικών θεωρητικών/ιστορικών σπουδών που θεραπεύονται στο Τμήμα,
• η προώθηση της ακαδημαϊκής έρευνας,
• καθώς και η ανάδειξη νέας επιστημονικής γνώσης.

Σε συνάρτηση με την κατεύθυνση του Π.Μ.Σ., οι βασικοί στόχοι του είναι η υψηλού επιπέδου καλλιέργεια και προαγωγή του οπτικού γραμματισμού:

α) στην ιστορία του κινηματογράφου και της τηλεόρασης,

β) στα διαφορετικά κινηματογραφικά και τηλεοπτικά είδη,

γ) στην εκμάθηση των σύγχρονων θεωρητικών μοντέλων που αφορούν στην αναπαράσταση και

δ) στη διεπιστημονική προσέγγιση των οπτικοακουστικών κειμένων

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The School of Film at Aristotle University (Thessaloniki, Greece) is accepting applications for its MA in Film & Television Studies program, which starts in October 2020.
Where: School of Film, Thessaloniki, Greece.
When: Application period: February 1, 2020 – May 15, 2020.
Interviews and e-interviews will be conducted between June 1 and June 10, 2020.

The Anglophone MA Program “Film and Television Studies” is an intensive threesemester program focused on the specialization and cultivation of advanced skills and knowledge of film and television studies. It has a theoretical and historical orientation, aiming at the advancement of academic research and the promotion of new scientific knowledge.

The program is taught by scholars of international standing and it is designed to ensure the mastering of the historical, aesthetic, political and industrial dimensions of film and television through a range of academic perspectives.

Eligibility criteria:

The categories of candidates that can be accepted in the Postgraduate Program of the School of Film are:

1. Holders of bachelor’s degrees1 from Greek Higher Education Institutions or recognized foreign institutions of equivalent status, as long as they submit officially recognized degrees*.
2. Holders of postgraduate diplomas (MA) in Film Studies, Media Studies, and Cultural Studies of Greek Higher Education Institutions or recognized foreign institutions of equivalent status, as long as they submit officially recognized degrees, even if the candidates don’t possess a bachelor’s degree from the departments mentioned in paragrap.
3. A Postgraduate Diploma cannot be awarded to a student whose bachelor degree from a foreign institution is not recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center (NARIC) according to Law 3328/2005 (Α’ 80).
4. Members of the categories Special Scientific Personnel (SSP), Laboratory Educational Staff (LES) and Special Technical Laboratory Staff (STLS) as long as they fulfill the requirements of the first passage of paragraph 1, article 34. Only one student of these categories can enroll as extra per year and perPP.

MA “Film & Television Studies” – Application deadline extended

As Greece’s “performance” during the pandemic has been exemplary, we’d like to assure you that we are taking all the necessary measures to ensure the operation of our program for 2020-2021.

We have also decided to extend or application deadline taking into account the various obstacles students worldwide faced or are facing during these circumstances.

Our MA is accepting applications until June 10, 2020 at 3pm (GMT+2).

Interviews and e-interviews will be conducted thereafter (June 15-June 20 2020).

Το Τμήμα Κινηματογράφου του Αριστοτελείου Παν/μιου Θεσσαλονίκης δέχεται αιτήσεις για το ΠΜΣ MA in Film & Television Studies program, που ξεκινάει τον Οκτώβριο 2020.

Η γλώσσα διδασκαλίας των μαθημάτων είναι η αγγλική. Το σύνολο των Πιστωτικών Μονάδων (ECTS) που απαιτούνται για την απόκτηση του Μ.Δ.Ε. ανέρχονται σε 90. Για την απόκτηση του Μ.Δ.Ε. ο/η φοιτητής/τρια θα πρέπει να παρακολουθήσει οκτώ (8) συνολικά μαθήματα στα δύο (2) πρώτα εξάμηνα σπουδών [δύο (2) υποχρεωτικά και δύο (2) επιλογής: σύνολο 60 ECTS].

Στο τελευταίο εξάμηνο των σπουδών και με την προϋπόθεση της συμπλήρωσης των 60 μονάδων ECTS θα πρέπει να συγγράψει μεταπτυχιακή διπλωματική εργασία, η οποία αντιστοιχεί σε 60 μονάδες ECTS.
