H Σχολή Μηχανικών Ορυκτών Πόρων του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης δέχεται αιτήσεις εισαγωγής στο Διεθνές Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (Π.Μ.Σ.) «Μηχανική Πετρελαίου» (Petroleum Engineering) για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2020-2021 από 01/02/2020 έως 31/08/2020 (για αιτούντες από την Ε.Ε.) και έως 31/05/2020 (για διεθνείς, εκτός Ε.Ε. αιτούντες). Καλούνται οι ενδιαφερόμενοι να υποβάλλουν ηλεκτρονικά την αίτησή τους και τα απαιτούμενα δικαιολογητικά, όπως αναφέρονται αναλυτικά στην ιστοσελίδα του Π.Μ.Σ.
Tο πρόγραμμα είναι Αγγλόφωνο απευθύνεται σε Έλληνες και αλλοδαπούς φοιτητές και οδηγεί σε Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης (Master of Science) στη Μηχανική Πετρελαίου. Ο στόχος του προγράμματος είναι να παρέχει το επιστημονικό υπόβαθρο και την τεχνική κατάρτιση στον τομέα της έρευνας και της εξόρυξης πετρελαίου και φυσικού αερίου. Η διάρκεια σπουδών είναι 12 μήνες πλήρους φοίτησης και παρέχει συνολικά 50 διδακτικές μονάδες (ECTS). Μετά την επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση των μαθημάτων οι φοιτητές αναλαμβάνουν την εκπόνηση μεταπτυχιακής εργασίας (Master Thesis), η οποία αντιστοιχεί σε 10 επιπλέον διδακτικές μονάδες.

Petroleum Engineering postgraduate program of the Technical University of Crete is a one-year, full-time program, designed to provide students with a scientific background in hydrocarbon exploration and skills in the practical aspects of petroleum engineering. The program begins in October, and leads to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. The program is run by the School of Mineral Resources Engineering.
The program is designed for graduates from a wide range of academic backgrounds including Chemical, Mechanical, Mineral Resources, Environmental Engineering as well as graduates from Physics, Chemistry, Geology Departments.
The language of the program is English and it begins at the end of September. The program fees are 4000€. For students coming from Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia the fees are covered by scholarships provided by “Hellenic Petroleum”.
Entry requirements
A Higher Education degree in Engineering or a science discipline relevant to the program’s subject is a prerequisite. Additionally, certification of good knowledge of the English language is required. Scientific and professional experience is also welcome.

Program specifications
The Steering Committee publishes annually the syllabus. The students to successfully fulfill their obligations need to attend the classes, to perform the work and to score at least 50/100 in their written exams in the following modules:Modules ECTs

Once the students have been successful in their exams they need to work on their MSc thesis. The thesis corresponds to 10 ECTs. The subject and the supervisor for each thesis are approved by the Steering Committee.
